UAE target of cyberattacks after Israel deal, official says

The United Arab Emirates has been the Target of cyber-attacks after formal ties with Israel, the Gulf Arab country’s cyber-security Head said on Sunday.

The UAE in August broke with years of Arab Policy when it consented to forge connections with Israel in a move that angered Palestinians and some Muslim nations and communities.

“Our connection, by way of instance, together with all the normalization with Israel opened an entire enormous attack from a few other activists from the UAE,” Mohamed Hamad al-Kuwaiti said through an onstage interview in a summit in Dubai.

Kuwaiti stated the financial industry was targeted but didn’t elaborate. He didn’t say whether any of those strikes were powerful or supply details on who the perpetrators were.

Also, he told the convention that the number of cyber-attacks from the UAE increased sharply following the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Kuwaiti said traditionally several strikes in the area arise from Iran, without specifying who’s supporting them.

Iran has also stated it has been a victim of Hacking.
